Who we are.

We FILL THE GAPS.

Higher Society is a non-profit organization that promotes positive change in Joplin, Missouri through community engagement, personal wellness, small business growth, and responsible cannabis use. Our efforts include regular clean-up events, environmental awareness campaigns, educational programs for personal health and wellness, and support for local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Our Sunday Morning Steps is a community-driven initiative that focuses on keeping Joplin clean and beautiful. Every Sunday morning, we gather to pick up trash and debris from local businesses, streets, parks, and public areas. SMS empowers individuals to make a positive difference in their community, fosters a sense of pride and accomplishment, and creates a transformative experience.

In addition to the Sunday Morning Steps program, Higher Society also educates citizens on responsible and ethical cannabis use, reduces the stigma surrounding it, and supports local businesses through events and social media promotion.

Our efforts promote personal wellness, sustainable practices, and community engagement, all of which contribute to a better Joplin.

“Movement is the only way you have of affecting the world around you. The body will become better at whatever you do, or don't do. If you don't move, your body will make you better at not moving. If you move, your body will allow more movement.”
